Things are looking up. It turns out that I did have level 2 CRS (Cytokine Release Syndrome) last week which explains the high fever and ongoing heart monitoring.
Anticipate discharge tomorrow to the hotel for a few weeks if all my labs hold up. Will still have to use a walker and my HEPA mask. Plus plenty of meds to keep me occupied. But, at least no pole machine or beeping monitors. (Eva has offered to recreate the ambiance…) I’m still a bit wobbly and definitely have loss of muscle tone, so little by little I’m trying to gain strength back. Appetite a little better, but pretty limited and serendipitous. Checkups at the clinic 2-3 times a week, maybe occasional blood transfusions. Also, regular appointments with my Stanford Doctor Sidana who will monitor and assess my CAR-T progress.
